The bifold server takes two nucleic acid sequences, either RNA or DNA, and folds them into their lowest hybrid free energy conformation. The application of certain options can generate significantly different fold results due to varying interactions between sequences. Note that if an error is encountered in bimolecular folding, it may still be possible to fold one or both component sequences independently without errors.
